Introduction
2024-11-16 --- 2025-09-25
I came to Hefei for my PhD research and have been working on projects at the lab here. I’ll probably stay for about a year before moving to the lab in Beijing afterward.
2026-05-12 --- 2026-05-14
Half a year later, I came back to Hefei once again for another competition.
1. Niuwangzhai
2024-11-30
Quite a few people came on Saturday, and they say it's the highest peak in Hefei. It was indeed quite exhausting to climb.
In the distance, there's a village surrounded by mountains.
2. Dashu Mountain
2024-12-14
The largest park in Hefei, the peak is about 300 meters above sea level.
3. Fucha Mountain
2024-12-21
A relatively primitive mountain with little development.
4. Chaohu
2025-01-01
5. Yefushan
2025-01-12
A four-star scenic area, not a high mountain, and the scenery is average.
6. Yinping Mountain
2025-01-18
This mountain is located in Chaohu, and it was completely empty. We drove up to the halfway point and then climbed to the top, where there was only a temple and an abandoned building.
7. Zipeng Mountain
2025-06-15
I came here once before, though I can’t remember what holiday it was. The place was absolutely packed back then — there wasn’t even anywhere to park, so I gave up and left. This time I came on a random weekend, and there were barely any people around. The scenery was great too. A free-entry 4A scenic area? Pretty nice deal.
8. Hudong Reservoir
2025-08-02
A typhoon has been passing through recently, so it’s been raining every day. Since it finally stopped raining today, I went out for a little walk.
9. Ma’anshan Steel Heritage Site
2026-05-13
I came here for a drone competition, and the event was held at this old Ma’anshan steel plant site. The whole “steel jungle” atmosphere actually gave the place a very Northeastern China vibe.
