For the Qingming Festival holiday, I decided to explore somewhere near Hefei and chose Huainan. It's a rather humble city with a large elderly population. The vibe reminded me a lot of northeastern China. Later, I found out that it’s indeed one of the cities developed during the Third Front Movement.
1. Huai River

This old neighborhood by the river is pure 1980s–90s northeastern China style—deeply nostalgic.
2. Longhu Park

Huainan also has a Longhu Park—same name as the one in Changchun.
