Introduction

This was my very first time in Hong Kong. I took an early morning flight from Hefei to Shenzhen, then hopped on the high-speed train from Futian to West Kowloon. The main reason for the trip was to open a few bank accounts, but I also had some time to wander around Kowloon.
1. Kowloon

After leaving the West Kowloon station, I walked toward the harbor and soon arrived in Kowloon. It’s a pretty nice area with great views.
I had heard that in Hong Kong, you can only smoke in designated smoking areas. After walking around for quite a while, I finally found one.
Things are definitely pricey here—maybe because it’s right by the water. I ordered some fried chicken and a beer, and it came to HKD $128.
